Kuumba Kids Dance LLC is compliant with the Illinois CDC by offering all classes via Zoom/Online and in-person with 6 feet SOCIAL distancing. Mask and hand sanitizer are required.
Kuumba Kids Dance, LLC mission is to utilize dance, music, and song as an educational tool to bring awareness and knowledge of the African Diaspora while inspiring self-confidence, development, discipline and respect for every one. In addition to dance classes, Kuumba Kids Dance, LLC offers in-school and after school programming. Contact us to bring us to your school today.


KUUMBA KIDS DANCE
Kuumba Kids Dance offers Performance Ensemble, Open Community Dance, and Drop-In Classes. Performance Ensemble is for students ages 5-18 who want to train and perform dance, song, and music from the African Diaspora. The classes are Fridays from 5pm-7pm. Kuumba Kids Dance Community Dance Class is an African Dance Class that is open to the community. Classes are offered every Friday from 5pm-6pm. The monthly cost must be paid in full prior to starting. There are no refunds for missed classes. Kuumba Kids Dance Drop-In Class are for students not enrolled in our monthly 4-week sessions classes. This is a great opportunity to try the class.
E-LEARNING ARTS IN EDUCATION
(K-12 SCHOOL PROGRAMMING)
Kuumba Kids Dance Arts in Education program is the learning institution arm of the dance company. Arts in Education is a program built for Day Care Centers, Montessori, Charter, Private, and Public Schools. There are 3 signature programs, and a program can be customized to fit your school's needs. All programming is available via Zoom and Google Hangouts for our student's safety and
COVID-19 compliance.


2021 summer camp
Kuumba Kids Dance Summer Camp is a cultural camp where all students ages 5-13 are welcome and can feel a sense of belonging. Students will learn new dances, African arts and crafts, and African drumming.
CULTURAL IMMERSION JULY 2021
Kuumba Kids Take Barbados program is a 10-day all Black cultural immersion experience to Barbados next July during Crop Over Season, a 3-month long festival of music, arts, food, and culture, where students k-5 will be participating in Junior Kadooment (a grand Carnival parade), and attending dance workshops with 3 elite dance studios.
